Rhonessia Johnson LMFT

Rhonessia is a Master’s Level Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2012. Over the past 9 years, Rhonessia has accrued a variety of skills as a result of working in treatment centers, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and insurance companies. Her areas of focus include crisis counseling for businesses, mental health support for those working as educators, and mediation in family & romantic partnerships. Her additional specialties include survivors of abuse, mood disorders, parenting, and adults with a history of suicidal thoughts.

Rhonessia’s theoretical background is trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy and family systems utilizing mindfulness based practices. Rhonessia is trained to provide Disruptive Event Management (DEM) to businesses and is pursuing additional training as a Certified Trauma Professional through the IATP (International Association of Trauma Professionals).
